Millwork Custom Fabricator

We are currently seeking a skilled Millwork Custom Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of materials and techniques to create custom millwork pieces for diverse projects. From intricate cabinetry to detailed molding, the Millwork Custom Fabricator will play a key role in bringing our clients' visions to life.

Responsibilities:

- Interpret architectural drawings and design specifications to fabricate custom millwork pieces according to client requirements.

- Select and prepare materials for fabrication, including cutting, shaping, and assembling components using various tools and machinery.

- Perform precision measurements and ensure accuracy throughout the fabrication process to maintain quality standards.

- Collaborate with design team and project managers to troubleshoot issues and implement design modifications as needed.

- Uphold safety protocols and adhere to industry standards for equipment operation and workplace safety.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Millwork Custom Fabricator or similar role in the millwork or woodworking industry.

- Proficiency in using a variety of woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, routers, sanders, and drills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship with precision and accuracy.

- Knowledge of different wood species, hardware, and finishing techniques commonly used in millwork fabrication.

- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and design specifications.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and operate heavy machinery in a workshop environment.

Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of relevant office experience combined with bookkeeping experience.

CNC AND FORKLIFT OPERATOR

CABINETMAKER

Cedar Ridge Designs has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced custom cabinetmaker for manufacturing cabinets, millwork and specialty items for residential and commercial custom millwork projects. We are located just outside of the beautiful town of Maxville, Ontario, and we supply architectural millwork to architects, the construction industry, interior designers and individual commercial/residential clients. We specialize in custom millwork and cabinetry for residential, retail, corporate, and restaurant projects. The successful applicant must have 3 – 5 years’ experience with no exceptions. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Skill level requirement:
  • Understanding of fabrication methods for residential and commercial millwork
  • Knowledge of machines, equipment and tools, including appropriate use and basic maintenance.
  • Those applicants with CNC experience also will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of raw materials and hardware
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and accept responsibility for your work
  • Extensive communication skills with emphasis on conveying and understanding detail

SALES & DESIGN ASSOCIATE

Scope of the position:

Reporting to the General Manager, this position is responsible for the design, estimation, sales and project follow-through on residential and commercial contracts. Working with other team members and Cedar Ridge processes, the position will appeal to someone who is looking for a situation that requires a talent for detail and organization combined with excellent people skills and creativity.

Critical competencies:
•Initiate and respond to sales opportunities
•Consult with client in all aspects of design of kitchen and/or other cabinetry and millwork
•Use Cabinet Vision CAD program to create design drawings and prepare proposals
•Finalize customer design, pricing and sales process

Key areas of responsibility:
