Position: Millwork Technician


Cedar Ridge Designs Inc., a company specializing in custom millwork and cabinetry for residential, retail, corporate, and restaurant projects, has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced millwork technologist, to aid the primary CNC technologist for manufacturing cabinets, creating shop drawings, and purchasing and receiving for custom millwork projects.

Cedar Ridge is located just outside the beautiful town of Maxville, Ontario, which is 45 minutes east of Ottawa. It is a perfect commuting distance, with minimal traffic and free parking.

We have a proven track record providing superior quality, custom millwork throughout Eastern Ontario, including Ottawa, since 2004, and continue to grow. This is a permanent, full-time position. Applicants must have 1 year of experience. Salary is $45,000 to $60,000, commensurate with experience. Cedar Ridge Designs Inc. also provides a benefit package.

Qualifications:

•1 year hands-on, relevant design experience. Applicants with cabinet making experience are preferred.
•Experience and working knowledge of millwork processes and materials (ie. sheet goods and hardware).
•CNC programming.
•Cabinet Vision software experience preferred. Experience valued: AutoCAD certification, RouterCim
•Blueprint and shop drawings reading skills required.
•Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Creative thinking and problem solving skills.
•Fluently speak, read, and write English.
•Must have time management skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

•Prepare detailed shop drawings for the production team.
•Program the CNC for the manufacturing of cabinets.
•Analyze and interpret blueprints and specifications.
•Partner with production department to determine best practice for completion of a project.
•Examine drawings for conformity and errors.
•Ensure quality and timely completion of project assignments while meeting cost targets.
•Source materials and prepare purchase orders for the required materials for projects and inventory.
•Record received materials and allocate to projects.
•Maintain inventory of stock materials.

Position: Cabinet/Millwork Installer

Cedar Ridge Designs Inc., a company specializing in custom millwork and cabinetry for residential, retail, corporate, and restaurant projects, is seeking an Installer for our Custom Millwork and Cabinetry. We have a proven track record providing Custom Millwork throughout Eastern Ontario for many years, and continue to grow.

This is a permanent, full-time position. Applicants must have 3 – 5 years experience installing cabinets and millwork, and be able to work alone onsite, or within a group environment. Some evening and/or weekend work may be required. Wage is $15.00 - $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Cedar Ridge Designs Inc. also provides a benefit package.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: :

-A valid driver's license with clean Motor Vehicle Record, safety shoes

-Must have/use your own tools

-The ability to effectively communicate with customers and personnel within the company

-Must have an eye for detail and a high quality of work

-Fast, efficient and professional conduct on job sites, including cleanliness and eye to detail

-Maintain a safe working environment

-Trouble shooting abilities (Know how to problem solve with cabinetry)

-Read and interpret drawings for install

-Submit Daily Progress Reports and Timesheets

-Work within timelines given

-Receive and help offload millwork when delivered

-Collaborate with Project Manager about each site and understand scope of each project

-Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly and possess the ability to think "Outside the Box" when faced with challenges

-Be able to cut baseboard and crown moulding

-Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join mouldings, wood materials and hardware, operate power tools

Position: Cabinet/Millwork Installer Helper

Cedar Ridge is seeking an Installer’s Helper for our Custom Millwork and Cabinetry. We have a proven track record providing Custom Millwork throughout Eastern Ontario for many years, and continue to grow.

This is a permanent, full-time position. Applicant will work with our Installer under his supervision and direction to assist him onsite with delivery, setup and installation. This position offers a growth opportunity, as the successful applicant will eventually advance to working independently on job sites.

Applicant must be energetic, willing to learn and have 1 year shop or woodworking experience. Some evening and/or weekend work may be required. Wage is $15.00 - $16.00/hour, commensurate with experience. Cedar Ridge Designs Inc. provides a benefit package.
